CERAMOSAICS
Mosaics made of ceramic tile are my interest. My first mosaic was made from commercial tiles. The result was OK, but cutting and fitting tiny bits of ceramic was incredibly tedious. The color choices in ceramic tiles were very limited. I decided to try a different approach: making lots of small ceramic tiles which I could use whole. Experimenting with tile mosaics has been a lot of fun. I can focus on the arrangement of tiles, rather than the process of shaping them. This has increased my appetite for more different tile shapes and tile colors, but I have enjoyed making them.
