Bloom Wildly

Bloom Wildly is my coastal Oregon art and pottery studio, where hand‑carved sgraffito tiles and nature‑inspired clay pieces come to life. Working from my barn‑red cottage in Bandon, I create sculptural pieces and one‑of‑a‑kind stoneware framed in reclaimed hardwood, each piece rooted in story, memory, and the wild beauty of the Southern Oregon coast. My work blends illustration, carving, and hand‑building, drawing on a lifelong love of art and a deep reverence for the natural world. Every tile begins as a sketch in my garden or along the shoreline, then moves through a slow, intentional process of carving, painting, and firing in my kiln, Ruby.

I came to pottery after a long career in corporate marketing, rediscovering clay as a way to reconnect with creativity, community, and the joy of making with my hands. What began as a new medium quickly became the heart of my artistic practice. Today, Bloom Wildly is both a studio and a philosophy, an invitation to live with curiosity, color, and connection. Through my pottery, I hope to offer pieces that feel soulful and enduring, carrying the quiet stories of place, memory, and the people who shaped me.

I was recently featured in the spring issue of “Where Women Create” if you’d like to learn more about my story.
