Earth Poem Pottery
I’ve always had a fascination with ceramics. As a kid, I was the one who always wanted to take the pottery class, but somehow, it never happened. Then, music came into my life, and life took over my life. And my passion for pottery became the dust of old dreams. Until one day, in late 2019, when a small window in my daughter’s schedule opened and freed this busy single mom up to get muddy. I immediately fell in love with working with clay. I started making only functional ware. After the opportunity to be in an art show found me suddenly striving to evoke my poetry in my pots, I also began creating artistic pieces. And thus was born … “Earth Poem Pottery.”
People often refer to me as an organic potter. Perhaps, you’ll see some of the inspiration I take from nature in my work.
When I’m not behind the wheel, I can be found pounding words out on my laptop, plucking the strings of my bass, on a yoga mat, or out in nature.
