Clayfolk general meeting July 30th, 2008
Brought to order by Lynita Zajack at 6:30 pm. Held at Susan Casaleggio’s home in Jacksonville.
Carol Heisel has resigned her position as Vice President and Shirley Huft (current member at large) has agreed to take her place. Linda Smiley stepped forward to fill the member at large position. A quorum of the membership is needed to enact these changes, so a special election at the Oct. meeting has been arranged.
Empty bowls of Josephine County is soliciting ceramic pieces for their annual event to be held in Oct. More information will be provided in the upcoming newsletter.
The next general meeting will be held on Oct. 19th at the Talent Firehouse. We expect a large turnout as this is the annual “booth pick” meeting. Hope to see you there.
Shirley Huft (program chair) introduced out guest, Joe Brecha. Joe is from the Clay Arts Center in Tacoma Wash. He gave us an introduction to his products and services and provided us with information on how to make group orders to save money on shipping. Joe seemed very knowledgeable and eager to provide Clayfolk members with access to clay products. Thanks Joe.
