Leslie Lee Leslie Lee graduated from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri with a BA in Graphic Design. Her career as a ceramic artist started after 12 years of design work and has lasted over 20 years. Leslie has presented many workshops, has shown her work internationally and appeared in several books and magazines including the cover story of Ceramics Monthly in September 1994. In recent years Leslie has concentrated on oil painting rather than ceramics. She continues to participate in Clayfolk (Medford) and Ceramic Showcase (Portland) by making ceramic "plates" to frame prints of her paintings. HUMMINGBIRD is the straw-bale and adobe home and studio Leslie built with her husband Dennis Meiners. They host summer ceramic and art workshops and have Bed and Breakfast rooms in their home year 'round.
