Beautiful, Functional Pottery For Every Day Use

I’ve been making pottery since the 70s in high school. I had a stint in Santa Fe where I was full time, doing craft fairs and setting up whole sale accounts. Since then I have treated pottery as a serious hobby, always having my wheel and kiln in the garage.

I have almost always focused on functional wheel thrown pots. I want my pots to be beautiful, feel good to use, and stand up to the stresses of daily use. Naturally, this includes being dishwasher and microwave safe. I love making and using my pots. It’s delightful to me to think of my pots in the homes and hands of people across the country. Last year I went back to Santa Fe and visited an old friend who was still using my pots daily 20 years later. How wonderful!

My primary work is as a psychotherapist and I have offices in Ashland and in Talent where I work with individuals and couples, primarily helping people improve their relationships and reduce anxiety. I am fascinated by the field and have done postgraduate training in Hakomi, NLP and the energy psychologies.

My other serious hobby is the martial arts and I have studied and taught T’ai Chi for decades. I also have my black belt in Karate.
